How To Get Weed Legally

Lucky for residents in the District of Columbia marijuana/cannabis/pot/tree/weed/whatever you call it is legal for both medicinal and recreational use. You can even grow up to 6 plants in your home for personal use. Unfortunately, recreational sales are still illegal in D.C. but people and local delivery services have taken full advantage of the gifting loophole. Just so we’re clear, you can use and grow marijuana in DC but you cannot buy it legally for recreational use. I know just dumb. Unless you trust your tree man here’s how you can get weed legally in Washington, DC and Maryland.

In Washington DC all qualifying patients have the right to obtain and use marijuana for medical purposes when his or her primary healthcare practitioner has provided a written recommendation.
