City Guide: THC Museum DC

When you get a text saying there’s a Groupon for the History of Cannabis Museum you just go. I didn’t ask questions or even do my Googles ahead of time. This was my first time even hearing of this museum. I had no clue it even existed. To my surprise the new museum location is hiding in plain sight. In northwest DC, right across the street from Howard University.

Full disclaimer: we visited on a super cold, and rainy Saturday evening. I don’t think they expected any guests for the rest of the night so the normal “tour guide” was gone for the day. I don’t think we got the full experience but it was something different to do. Without giving away too much here are a few

THC Museum HIGHlights

First of all there are no pictures allowed in the small exhibit space but the museum collects and preserves original artifacts and photographs.

You’ll learn about the cannabis plant from its inception to modern day. The exhibit covers everything from the medicinal, legal, and even cultural influences of this amazing plant.

We don’t like to tell adults what to do but we highly recommend you go experience it for yourself. Especially the cool CBD bar. Plus they have munchie snacks!

You can’t beat the price. Admission for two is $10 or four for $19 on Groupon ! Thanks Tiffany Haddish (LOL). We wish this was a paid ad. Unfortunately it is not. BUT if any PinkStoners make the visit be sure to tell them we sent you!
